Controling an XBox 360 with a Bose Lifestyle Remote

Thought i'd share this (with the <1000 people worldwide who probably have a similar problem):

"In the remote setup screen, scroll to VCR, select the device as DVD. Brand is Microsoft, Device code is 1708 or 2083.  May need an IR emitter if the xbox is not in view of the media center."

Haven't tried this yet.  Here's hoping it works.

I got my xbox 360 to work with the Lifestyle v30 remote briefly. Was using the xbox to play DVD's. It was quite sporadic. (As a matter of fact, I went to test it out before posting, and it's not working again...)

Could be the emitter, I found it needs to be really close by...

I should add that this was specifically in response to my request for help with my LS38 remote.

Once I bought my Logitech Harmony remote, my life changed for the better. Screw that OEM crap!

It works! I can now watch Netflix's on demand movies on the XBOX using just my Lifestyle remote to do it. Very nice.
